Water, water everywhere.
Some days begin with sea turtles. Others with cenotes. Neither is a bad decision.
With eleven pools scattered throughout the property—including rooftop plunge pools and two at the Beach Club—you could swim somewhere different every day for eleven straight days.
There’s also an unbelievably large pool of water just a short walk from your front door. It’s called the Caribbean Sea. It has a sandy beach, lots of fish, and can be stared at for hours.
If you're eventually persuaded to leave the rooftop, here's a starter list of places worth wandering toward.
Swim with sea turtles — Akumal Beach (3 min)
Snorkel crystal-clear freshwater — Yal-Ku Lagoon (5 min)
Explore caves and cenotes — Aktun Chen (7 min)
Play 18 through the jungle — Riviera Maya Golf Club (10 min)
Float a lazy river — Xel-Há (12 min)
Walk among Mayan history — Tulum Ruins (20 min)
Spend an afternoon in town — Playa del Carmen (35 min)
